It's already June!!!

Summertime is here in spirit.....and spirits around the death star are a little lighter since we have written some sales the past week and a few more this week.......people are thinking about smiling again.....however the intensity is still here with the Platinum Hood Awards coming up Saturday and lots and lots of loose ends left to be tightened up for the station's biggest event of the year by far. Lots of celebs will be in town, so, people are nervous about things coming off without a hitch. I am personally just fatigued from all these weeks of burning the candle at both ends. I'll be so glad when my Mom passes her insurance exam, so that I can delegate some of the financial biz's workload to her. I can't wait for the various summer trips that I have planned.....they will be welcome distractions. After the awards on Saturday, life should become somewhat more normal??? My fingers are crossed.......By the way, the California friend has shown signs that she's missing me....And I am missing our daily communication on my end as well.....But, I am not going to beg....I have been calling at least 3 to 4 times each week to try to catch up with her........If she really wants to talk to me more, the ball is in her court......And as for Miss Singapore.....Well, she's been a very good girl lately.......even promising this morning to come visit me before the end of the year......hey, hey, hey!!!! Hell yeah!!!

Run For Cover!!!

Darth Vader is on the loose....the storm troopers are away and he's on the prowl to crush the rebellion. The sales manager is taking a short vacation.....sales are down, and you can figure out the rest. The sales meeting on yesterday morning started with lots of yelling and a door slam. Followed by 20 minutes of people trying to self-boost morale before hitting the 92 degree heat trying to making a mark on the board. On a lighter note.....the California friend has called me everyday this week and has been so extra nice.....now why couldn't this have been the case when I had the time to enjoy it.....and more importantly, where was all of this nicety on Valentine's Day??? I know, I know.....we're only platonic friends....but, that still doesn't mean one can't be realistic about what you REALLY want right??? Miss Singapore has been in a cranky mood with her family, which means she's been very happy to spend time lately gabbing with me over the phone. It's funny, I've spent more time talking to Miss Singapore over the past month at 8 cents a minute than I have the California friend.....not by choice of course....but, Miss Singapore and I are bonding. It's just a few days until the Memorial Day holiday.....I'll be heading off to Memphis for a couple of days......a little fun and a little biz mixed in.....still finishing small details for the fight promotion. But there will definitely be fun on the card as I will do some catching up with an old friend and my cousins. Maybe take in a little of the Memphis night life......yeah that's the ticket!!! Can't wait for Friday to roll around.

It's already the 20th???

This month has flown by....even though I have been at budget for April, May, and June for about 3-4 weeks, I've been trying to keep it flowing so that Darth Vader won't have any material to bitch about for a while....the problem is, that everyone else has had 4 slow weeks, so me slowing down some over the past 3-4 weeks with sales is making Darth Vader very uncomfortable. So, I am trying to keep momentum going to give him less to bitch about . I've been doing 5-9 remotes a week the last several weeks. The result of this schedule has been lost sleep, sleepy driving, and even me falling asleep while studying and taking my insurance exams this past week. I don't know how I was able to pull passing the exams off without the good Lord lookin over my shoulder. I went to sleep at least 10 minutes during one set of questions....but the most important thing is that I passed!!! All that is left for me now is to apply and take my securities exam......then I'll be ready to REALLY take in the wide world of finances for middle America. And of course expand the biz. I am definitely taking it easy tonight.....Anime rentals from Blockbuster maybe.....and definitely some Adult Swim Anime' tonight on Cartoon Network....thats exactly what the doctor ordered!!! I've seemed to gain the good graces of the California friend again...but oddly enough it seems to be due to the fact that I am so busy these days that we aren't talking as frequently .......maybe that's what we needed......hmmmm......as for Miss Singapore......she's a blast, we talk at least 4 or 5 days a week.......I can't wait to go visit this winter....it'll be a blast!!! I was very disappointed when my Atlanta Braves blew a 9-8 lead in the ninth inning last night against Arizona....we had moved all the way to 3 1/2 games out of first place.....we gotta continue the good work.......c'mon Bravos, get out there and have some timely hitting and some even more crucial timely defense so that we can take our rightful place by the All-Star break as number 1 baby!!! I didn't do it very big last weekend at the bass tourney either, but one of club members won a $20,000 check at a national tourney the day before our club tourney.......I am trying to hang out around him some in case it's contagious...lol.....

Two weeks is like a blurr

I can't even tell you where the time has gone. Things have actually been pretty cool. My financial biz is picking up, the day job is steady, things have been heading and maintaining in a good place, the only downfall would be the time....it's shot by so quickly that I haven't been able to make phone calls, emails, and texts like I am used to........I know my family and friends think that I am being anti-social, but not really. I've just been so taxed on time that by the time I know it, it's 1am and time for bed. And with 5 days a week of live remotes every week, it's even more of a crunch. But I am not complaining, because it's this level of activity that I have worked so hard the last 3 years to create. I knew that it would be like this eventually. The plan is to bust my ass until July of 2007, then slow down and start a family....or something like that, lol!!!

I'm Tired....Whewwww!!!


I don't even know where to begin.....just the most intense four or five week stretch of my radio career. Mostly because now I have 5 days of remotes. So I essentially work at least 3 hours a day 7 days a week, being that I count set up time and drive times for the Saturday/Sunday remotes. Anyway that's in the face of the fact that I am really just getting to start on building my financial biz lately which sucks up extra time that I would normally have to get caught up on rest or work on music. With all of the work though, I have really been blessed. I would have to say that God has been look out for Bizzle in a way lately that I can't say I am used to. That's why I am very looking forward to the day when I can be a blessing to someone else in a big way....the small everyday stuff is cool.....but I really want to impact some people's lives...can't wait until that opportunity comes my way. Haven't been able to watch much of the Braves games yet this season......gotta remedy that......yep. I missed the Quad States tourney in Missouri this past weekend. I really wanted to go, but knowing how fickle things are around here when I am gone and having to have rookies cover all these remotes, I just knew it wouldn't work this time around. But I will jump thru flames to go the Quad States fall tourney. It's in October, so hopefully I can just plan ahead.

The California lady friend has been unfairly neglected by my calls and emails lately. I feel bad because despite the Valentine's fiasco...... I still consider her to be a great friend and she's always had my back....that being said......Miss Singapore.....(I'm sure that Jo has probably bumped into Miss Singapore a time or two.....Miss Singapore wholesales DVD's in Little India....) Anyway, I've truly been extra busy lately and because her time is 13 hours ahead, it lends itself for us to talk either a few minutes before I go to bed or vice versa......the California friend and I work hectic day and sometimes evening schedules which don't allow as much time for us to conversate by phone....especially lately. So.....I don't know, what to think.....California made it very clear that she desires a strictly platonic relationship at the moment, while Miss Singapore is singing the tunes that I want to hear......I guess I will just have to figure out for myself, but damn it's hard to know what "the right thing to do" really is......and am I feeling this way because I am secretly hurt by my slighting from Valentine's Day??? Afterall, she did treat me very well when we went to Atlanta.....so, is the blame on me......and I do enjoy our friendship....it's been the highlight of my life for the last 8 months. However, I can feel me bonding with Miss Singapore very quickly and I hope that doesn't mean that I end up slighting California friend in the end of the time and attention that she has EARNED and deserves......Dilemmas.....lol....

It's all about survival!!!

Thursday was a day that took a lot to get through...but the results were worth it. I hit my April budget....so management can stay out of my ass.....yipee!!! Of course the real stress was Friday's marathon of 5 live remotes....used car dealer, gentlemen's club, cd signing, Live show, and the after party. Ralph Tresvant was cool as hell. He did a 2 song set at Ambiance with music...and then he took requests from the crowd to do some sing-alongs that he lead live. It was like having him in your living room hanging out for the evening. First class performer....and a genuinely nice cat. Found out he loves to fish catfish, bass, crappie, even stripers...a little salt water here and there.....which I thought was just another example of no matter how far people go in life....we're all basically the same when it comes down to it. It's ironic that another music artist of all the people that I have had conversations with in the past month would be the most well versed on the nuances of bass fishing. Anyway, I was so tired from this past week's flurry of activity that I slept late this morning.....I did get a chance to make all of my Eastertide greetings and wishes to friends and family.....but I had to recharge the batteries a bit......I still have another live remote later tonight. I haven't even had time to watch my Atlanta Braves work on winning another title over past four or five days......gotta do better than that!!! That Cool Aussie Frank is under the weather....so everyone wish her a speedy recovery.....she's responsible for her grandparents well-being and needs all her strength to make it happen.

Friday....oh really....I thought this was supposed to be the start of the weekend???

Yeah...yeah....be jealous.....Ralph Tresvant is in the building......women all over Little Rock are offering to come to the station and drink a glass of his bath water......wish I was joking. I have worked about 80 hours this week between my accounts, the 4 promotions we're doing with our 3 stations right now, and about a half dozen new accounts I've picked up since my boy got fired this week....so right now on 3 hours sleep.....I'm on the borderline of not being a really nice guy....but....because of my job....still gotta let the world see me smile. I have two remotes this afternoon at the same time that I have to juggle even though they are 30 miles apart....all before getting ready for Ralph's show tonight at Ambiance. I might get to bed by 5am!!! Next week though....best believe a brotha is catching up on his sleep......it'll be snoozeville all week long baby!!!
